The Data Protection Statement is a unilaterally binding legal document based on fundamental principles of personal data processing that regulates what users’ data is collected, how this data is processed and for what purposes it is used. The Data Protection Statement also informs users of their rights regarding the collection and further processing of their personal data, all for the purpose of protecting their privacy in a broader sense.
The Data Protection Statement is based on the following principles relating to processing of personal data: the principles of lawfulness, transparency and best practices, the principles of restriction of processing and data minimisation, the principles of accuracy and completeness of personal data, the principle of storage limitation, the principles of data integrity and confidentiality, the principle of accountability, the principles of trust and fair processing, the principle of opportunity (purposes of the processing) and the principle of pseudonymisation (anonymisation) of personal data.
The Data Protection Statement applies to all services offered by the Foundation Anamarija Carević, whereas the Statement aims to, in a clear and transparent manner, inform users of processing operations concerning their personal data and their rights. Most importantly, users may at any time contact the Foundation Anamarija Carević with a request to amend and/or update the data concerning them, as well as with a request to submit a statement regarding the purposes for which they want or do not want their data to be processed.

Privacy policy
By sending a query, signing a contract or immediately contacting the Foundation, the user agrees to voluntarily provide his/her personal data to the Foundation Anamarija Carević. The user thereby also permits the use of their personal data for the purpose of protecting personal interests in all interactions/contracts with the Foundation Anamarija Carević.
The Foundation Anamarija Carević will protect users’ personal data by collecting only the essential, basic user data necessary for its services; to inform the users on the ways in which their personal data is used, to allow the users to decide on the ways their personal data is used, including the decision of making their name publicly listed on the lists used for marketing purposes, or choosing to be erased from such lists.
All user data is kept strictly confidential and is made available only to those employees who need those pieces of information to do their job. All employees and business partners of the Foundation are responsible for respecting the principles of privacy protection.
Personal data collection and processing includes forwarding users’ personal data to third parties and companies in the Republic of Croatia or abroad. Third parties include all natural persons and companies included in carrying out the services provided by the Foundation.
Users agree to the use of their personal data under the conditions listed above for a period of two years after the expiration of the signed contract.

Right to erasure of personal data

Right to object
The user is entitled to object to the processing of any personal data relating to him/her if such data are processed for the purpose of legitimate interests of the controller. In this case the Foundation Anamarija Carević shall, as the controller, no longer process the personal data unless it demonstrates compelling legitimate grounds for the processing of personal data which override the user’s right or when data processing is used for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
If the user’s personal data are processed for direct marketing purposes, the user shall have the right to object at any time to processing for direct marketing purposes, particularly where personal data are used for profiling.
